Happy Monday everyone! I have some super exciting news for you! I’ve spent the last few weeks working on several brand new personal training plans which I launched TODAY!! So without further adieu, let’s jump straight in!
My Story (Why the Heck I’m Doing This)
I have had such an up and down journey to get to the point of deciding to be a personal trainer as a career. My passion for fitness started years ago when I was in high school. I have always had weight issues especially when I was a child. I was morbidly obese from about second grade until I discovered fitness in high school. So many people I’ve talked to say “oh I was a chubby kid too” but I’m serious guys. I was almost 200 lbs in second grade. I was teased and made fun of for my appearance. Eventually, I reached a point where I was just done.
When I was a Junior in High School I joined a gym for the first time in my life and fell in love with running. I started working out every single day not because I had to but because I genuinely wanted to. The first time I realized I could run an entire mile and I was so happy I cried right there. And about 6 months later I ended up running my first full marathon.
Why I became a Personal Trainer
Around this time (end of high school) I started toying with the idea of becoming a personal trainer but I never really put serious thought into it. Eventually, I went to nursing school and realized after working in a hospital that I have a passion for people. I loved meeting all of the new personalities. The thing was that working in a hospital just wasn’t for me. I loved the people, not so much the job.
When I became pregnant with my son and was put on bed rest and I decided it was time to do something different. I knew I wanted to be able to interact with and help people and I wanted to mesh that with my love of fitness. Since I was on bed rest I decided to take advantage of my free time and got my personal trainer’s license.
This was the best move I have ever made! Being a personal trainer allows me to help people while doing something that has been bringing me joy for almost 7 years now!
What is Online Personal Training?
Online Personal Training Plans are basically exactly what they sound like. I provide my clients with workouts (along with many other resources) to help them reach their fitness goals, much like a personal trainer in a gym would. The difference is with my training plans you get to contact me at any time and I’ll help you make the tough choices (should I eat this cake? -sometimes yes haha). I give you the tools you need to reach your fitness goals and build a knowledge base so you can be successful long term! Every plan is individualized and I work with each client 1:1 to meet goals. I give you a workout schedule and you fit in the workouts when you have time that day.
